Administrative Assistant


Lynda Rooney has been a member of Montgomery Hills Baptist Church since 1987. Lynda joined the Montgomery Hills staff in February of 2014 following her retirement from Lockheed Martin Corporation in June 2013. She is responsible for the layout and preparation of weekly bulletins and monthly newsletters and responds to phone calls and requests for access to the church building during the week. Anticipating and acquiring supplies of all kinds for the church and coordinating facility inspections are just some of her routine activities. Prior to her 27-year career with Lockheed Martin, Lynda held positions with Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY and St. Regis Paper Company in Nyack, NY.

In addition to her staff responsibilities, she has used her many talents within the Church, serving as a member of the music/choir ministry, as well as participating in our Glad Tidings, Habitat for Humanity, and Vacation Bible School ministries.

A native of Rochester, NY, Lynda holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland-University College. She resides in Columbia, MD with her husband Michael.
